November has been a really lazy month for me...I'm lazy to post pics of my food, lazy to blog, lazy to work out, lazy to do alot of things...
Just got back from Japan with my mum..our 1st trip just the 2 of us..to enjoy the nice autumn foliage...photos will be up soon..as I'm going to BKK tomorrow with the gym people!

Post-Launch Dinner with the instructors
It was Indonesian-Thai cuisine and the food were good...The restuarant is at Haji Lane but I can't remember the name now..

Took the Sunday off for Sunday Brunch at Equinox..have been wanting to try the Champagne Brunch for very long time...

In case if you are thinking we are atas people who go for expensive meals, we are not. I happen to have the Feed At Raffles card free from Amex card...so there's a 50% discount for us...If I don't have this card, I probably wouldn't want to dine there...$128++ is not really worth...unless u can drink ALOT of champagne! =D

My 2 babies at my void deck...
this is the one who refused to go home with me...she now can hear me coming cos I'm using the trolley haversack...the sound from the wheels sorta announce my arrival...haha..
This is Boy Ash...Big Meow Meow now accepts his company so many times, I see them resting close to each other..but then, Big Meow still hiss at him if he comes too close when she's eating..haha..

Was still feeling the aftermath of my sore throat and cold..so wanted to eat something cooling and light...
There was this new sushi place near my work area...and this lunch cost me over $20..
the miso soup comes with daikon, carrots and meat..which was so soft it almost melt in the mouth..
the very expensive otoro and salmon nigiri..

i felt good after the lunch so i went to buy the salmon sashimi salad which i saw in the afternoon on my way back home..they had run out so the chef actually prepared a fresh serving for me to take-away...and i saw uni nigiri on the menu so i also bought 2 pcs back...at $15 per pc!! super ex i know! but after the hokkaido uni which i had...i kinda miss the taste...but unfortunately..perhaps its not as fresh as what i had in hokkaido, and also it had to survive my 1-hr journey back home, the uni actually tasted very fishy...

This year, we went to Magma somewhere in Outram area for our Oktoberfest...
Boiled sausages with a very special bread..its quite muffin-like..
the pork knuckle..yums..but i couldn't eat much as the crispy bits were tearing on my throat! >.<
darling was attacking the knuckle happily thou..
Their in-house brewed beer...its a dark ale..but its not bitter and was very smooth...
He like it lots...
I like it too..but unfortunately..i was having a sore throat that day..and it kinda got worse in the evening..so besides drinking the beer..i didn't really have much appetite for other stuff...which is a pity!

Had a voucher for M&C F&B outlets that was going to expire soon so we made a very last minute decision to try M Hotel's semi-buffet dinner..
There were some hits and misses - the satays were good but only when they juz left the grill...sashimi was not fresh and it looked like they have sat at the buffet table for the last 3 hrs...
Darling's main course - grilled beef which was too tough..he ordered medium which tasted like medium-well..
My grilled baby lobster main course which was really still a baby...I finished it in 2 bites...hee hee

My new hair cut..the thing about having short hair is...the hair always gets shorter everytime I'm at the salon..spent 3hrs on Sunday getting a new hair colour as well..but this is one hair style i like..very spunky!

Peony Jade Cripsy Yam - tastes gd..unfortunately the ones with Pumpkin was sold out..but i did try the Eater's Palace one with pumpkin and it was not too bad either!
There are still other mooncakes at my mum's hse which i bought that i didnt' take photos..There's traditional baked mooncakes from Hua Ting, Da Zhong Guo etc..definitely going to get sugar high!

Have been MIA for almost a month!! Sept was a busy month for me..went on a week's holiday with darling to Phuket and BKK, had classes to teach and cover, always some form of dinners or gatherings..preparation for the LM launch, Sept just whizzed past and its Oct now! and i'm super addicted to FaceBook so most of my updates were there instead of on the blog..

Everytime the aircon man come and service the aircon, its a nightmare for my baby...
usually she will hide behind the cushions in the living room at the balcony...this time she ventured to a hardly ventured before place - the kitchen...she hardly goes to the kitchen cos there's once when she was still prob abt 6 mths old..she jumped up to the cooking stove and my stove fire was on! she burnt her whiskers slightly and from then on she hardly step into the kitchen..
this time when the aircon man came, i couldn't find her but i keep hearing noises from the kitchen...den i realised she was hiding between the washing machine gap and the wal.. >.<''
She was clinging onto the tap for her life...her legs weren't really touching the floor...and she kept to this position for like at least 10 min...
den she tried to climb up to the tap and piping...but guess she din realised she was rather fat and got a heavy butt...
she den turned around and did a headstand..
and den tried to squeeze her fat body into the back of the washing machine which was totally impossible..wat a silly cat!

Brought my parents out for Penang Buffet at Copthorne's King for their birthdays cos their birthdays are juz a few days apart..and I think they like the food cos its more suitable for the palate..dun tink they will like international style...

Had some time in the morning so did some chored and cooked (or rather, heated up) some chicken curry..but den..i did add my own chicken drumstick into the curry cos I thought there's no chicken meat (which turns out to be plentiful) so its considered I cooked!
boiled the chicken separately to avoid contamination..and skinless chicken for a healthier diet (which darling dun agree with me)

put the chicken into the forzen curry (which was thawed)

i went crazy so i had a double lunch today! its terrible i noe..but i was craving for carrot cake..and i oso wanted to eat the wantan mee tat VV has recommended me cos of the big servings..
den i oso hav a super craving for fried carrot cake..and juz so coincidentally the fried carrot cake is beside the wan tan mee stall..so i order a $2 pkt.. =P
double lunch + only 1 dessert today cos I know I will be super full! and sure I was after my cheng tng!
this is Ash, my another adopted son at my voideck...very hard to get a good photo of Ash cos he's a very manja cat who will kee rubbing his head against our legs so its hard to get him on photos when he keeps moving around...
After eating, he likes to lick his face clean..I suspect he gotten into a fight and I hope its not with Big Meow...his eyes were swollen and there's a small wound on his head..but its looks like its healing so I thought I will monitor before deciding if should bring him to a vet..

Post National Day dim sum brunch..
Had a dim sum treat fr my sis at East Ocean Restaurant...one of the chinese restaurant tat we frequent since we were young...

Its National Day long wkend!!
Finally hav the time to cook my Japanese curry cos the mix is going to expire soon and the potatos and carrots have been lying in my fridge for the last 3 wks...i'm amazed they haven grown shoots...
I lightly fried some brown mushrooms too..
boiled soup with ikan bilis and some frozen ham leftover fr the pizza making a mth ago..*gasp* consulted mum and she said not a problem if the ham was frozen..anyway its not like alot so i guess no harm in cooking it..
added baby cai xin for fibre..sick of eating broccoli salad everytime i cook...
and see my naughty daughter..playing a fool under the blanker..

had a filling lunch of bak chor mee and when i walked passed Ya Kun...got a sudden craving for kaya toast...
darling finally managed to get The Pattisier cake for me..all the cakes were sold out the previous time he went..i had to call and reserve this time so call me kiasu..

Its BODYSTEP time!!
had a fun time helping Kel to do the mini Launch at CHV and it was of great fun!!! we dressed up to the occassion, i got a bling bling top from Chinatown and the scarve was courteosy of Kel..he even gave me a water bottle which was juz in time to replace my old Nalgene one..
some of the supporters/cameraman/F&B provider..
My F&B provider had KOI and Tip Top kalipok for us!
wif Kel - i looked like i'm already toasting drinks b4 the class has even started!

the Notherners travel to West Coast Plaza wif me in search of cheap deals at the Nike Warehouse store..and den we ended up at the Korean BBQ chicken place..
had a set meal for 4 when there's only 3 of us..

Went to Timbre last Fri as suggested by Shiyin and it was indeed quite a nice place..the band that nite was good too..but too bad it will b their 2nd last show at Timbre..not sure where they will be off too thou...
ordered a pizza and some drinks to start the evening..

I did another Face Yoga workshop for Bvlgari skincare again..and I tink if i really have tat money to splurge..i will use their products!!! cos it really makes the skin ultra smooth!!!
had some time to waste b4 i go for a class...so ended up in Mosburger for FAT creamy fries with mayo..if you tink its sinful...read on..
due to some last min training tat was scheduled, the crabby dinner this sat was cxl....and darling happened to go Melben wif some tkd ppl...so i got him to da bao a black pepper crab back...and i had it ALL BY MYSELF!

Day TWO of the BodyStep training...all I can rem is the Challenge where we did alot of plyometric jumps, pushups and abs work! SIONG!
as for the presentation..i felt i did better in terms of cueing in the morning..i tink quite tired by the end of the day so i tink i did not do as well as the 1st one..and the trainer, Jacq oso say my armlines r not sharp..something to work on!!!

Its been a looooooooooooong day!! Day ONE of my BodyStep training..and i;m starting to feel the ache in the butt and thighs...but Day One was great! Inspiring trainer, and a few of the gym ppl for company..and i got an easy presentation track..there's nothing to complain abt!
Met Kwan and Sis for dinner after the training...Kwan's giving us a bdae treat at Astons...

Went to the Taka food fair after work and found some gems...haha..
Juicy fried chicken..they hav no stores yet but they do catering...the chicken was indeed juicy and not too oily...love the cream cheese that came along..

my sis bought the Mango Cheesecake from Glace...love it to bits! even my mum asked for 2nd helping!
Also bought this at the Taka food fair...WL and Lynn were raving abt their ice cream but this shop is at Novena which is not really convenient for me to go...so when i saw the booth, i was really excited to try out the variety of flavours..
The yellow one was Mao Shan Wang..and its macam like eating frozen durian!!! i bought this for darling but i wanted to try first b4 i buy for him in case its flavour is not v strong..but it was very STRONG! i had to quickly sample other flavours to get rid of the durian taste...
i bought the Tiramisu in pint...strictly for alcoholic cos the alcohol taste is quite strong..

Sun after my class...a paktor day..
darling brought me to Purvis St to hav beef noodles...its not a dish tat i will go all the way to eat..but since we were nearby we went to try...apparently its v famous..
not too bad..i had the soup version as it looks more appetising compared to the dry one...the beef slices were abit too tough thou..
we den went to see a Cat of the World photo exhibition..i thot it was at the Spore Arts Museum but when we parked the car and went in..realised its the wrong place...it shd be Spore ARTS HOUSE...which is NOT nearby...blame it on my blur-ness...sigh..
so we still went since its on our way back..the photos were all v nice and this is one tat i especially like!
den we went to c some showflats at Pasir Panjang..its another case of 'tell me where is the recession???!" hav to Q to go into the showflat..and it was launched the day b4..but only 10% of the units are left available...Sporeans all v rich leh!
Dinner at home today..i made Lemongrass Agar Agar..i likey!
Had Pizza cos i bought the Pizza base from Melvados last wkend..wanna try out the base..

Everytime I say I want to control my diet...food will juz keep popping up from nowhere...
Eclairs fr Good and Rich...will prefer their swiss rolls thou..
Green Tea roll..everything was great..but i wished the red beans were mashier...
M&S Low Fat (v impt) potato chips and Meiji Potato Sticks...FYI the pkt of chips were so huge i cant fin it at one go...still hav half bag left..

I'm officially older again!! I'm really afraid of growing old and die..which is why after I watched the Twilight..my new ambition is to be a vampire! If anyone knows how to...please let me know! (I'm serious)
Darling took me out on a spa and dinner treat which I super enjoyed..
Spa at Spa Sauvignon..they used some wine products for the scrub and massage and their hydrobath i tink...overall was ok..but i prefer my Japanese spa! more atas!

Dinner was at Kuriya Dining..4 years ago on our 1st V-day celebration..darling took me there as well and we had the Kaiseiki set which has to be pre-ordered...fast fwd 4 yrs...the kaiseiki set can b ordered on the spot..i tink sporeans r really more well off..they can order all the expensive stuff so that's y the restaurants always have the ingredients ready..
Appetisers - Very refreshing mix! and the season is now summer so most of the dishes were very light in flavour and very refreshing!
Sashimi - do i still hav to review this?? Sashimi fr Kuriya is definitely very good, fresh and sweet!
Some fish and eggplant..Even thou darling is not an eggplant lover he oso finished it clean clean!
Wagyu beef - tenderlicious!
Prawn and ricepaper skin - a very special dish..the yellow cream was actually corn sauce..
Sushi with seabass soup - the sushi was yummilicious and the soup..was wayyyyyyy over my expectations..it was very light yet still can taste the freshness of the seabass...i'm no food reviewer so no fancy words to describe...but really gotta drink it to appreciate the freshness and the sweetness!
My fav - dessert!!! The fruits were all air-flown from Japan..but i still prefer local watermelon..much sweeter..but the strawberries, cherries were all very sweet! the tiramisu was very moist as well..goes super well with the icecream..

the beautiful LV clutch tat darling gave me for my bdae this yr...thank u darling! Muack!

Another day of MC..woke up today still feeling v tired but not as bad as yesterday...did some housework...played wif my baby...and when she's tired..she ran to the bathroom sink and took a rest....
den while i was cooking dinner...she slept thru 3 whole hrs on her fav red pillow..and opening eyes occassionally to check when i walked past her..
